Painter’s Nook

Malířský koutek (Painter’s corner) is a picturesque village square with timbered buildings, a stake, a mile stone and a belfry from the 19th century. It is a rare evidence of how village communities in the region looked like in the past. Its name is derived from the fact that painters loved painting the Střekov Castle ruin from here. In those days, good quality grapes were still grown on the surrounding hills.
